By now, there is a lot of advice circling on how to run a FB ad that converts into dollars.

It’s mind-boggling how many things you can try and how many ways you can test. When we get overwhelmed, we skip steps. This happens a lot. People aren’t sure what to do or they are overwhelmed by the amount of information to wade through, they end up throwing something together that doesn’t give them the desired result.

I get it. As an entrepreneur, every dollar counts. (As does every hour of your time!) I put together a formula called The Global Ad Secret. This is a formula that takes the guess work out of FB ads. Just follow the steps, rinse and repeat each time you decide to launch an ad campaign.

 I’ve laid out the exact steps for you to start implementing them immediately in your business.

HERES HOW TO DO IT:

    • First, go to the sprocket in the upper right corner and from dropdown select “Manage Ads”. If you can’t find that, go to www.fb.com/ads/manage
    • Go to Your Ad Account
    • Click on the green button “Create an Ad”

Then in the Campaign section under Choose Your Objective, select “Engagement.”

 Underneath you will name your campaign and select Page Likes

  • You might not have originally considered countries like Qatar but when you’re going for Cost-Effective and Inexpensive Social Proof, there is nothing wrong with adding these countries.
  • For Ages, I know most of my customers are over age 30 but below 59.
  • For Language, I will select English because I know they speak English.
  • For Interest, I am teaching marketing and business so I select marketing, entrepreneur. FB will also give you suggestions.
  • As you can see, I am trying to get the number for the potential reach up to 40 million people.

Select your countries. I recommend selecting 20 countries (remember, the US is the most expensive country for advertising). 

 

Your audience is too large so we need to narrow it.

Narrow the audience with age and language preferences like this;

Narrow further with interests. In this example, we target interests such as people who like FB Marketing, Infusionsoft, Social Media Examiner, Marketing, etc. This gets our potential reach down to 42,000,000. It’s a nice large global audience to target for the Global Ad Secret Page Likes campaign.

 Set your budget. I chose $25 per day, however you can start as low as $5 per day. You can also run a test ad for just 1 day if you set a start and end date in the schedule.

 

Next, name your Ad Set with a name that is descriptive of the audience. For example, this Ad Set targets 42 million people around the world who like Social Media Marketing and it’s a Page Likes campaign;

 

Now it’s time to select your images.

Now it’s time to use the Pattern Interrupt Ad Formula; Enter the Headline – remember to use a brief question. I used “Got Likes?”

For the Text, since my business is to attract FB customers, I created “Like Customers?” as a question. It’s also a Pattern Interrupt.

You can preview your ad in different placements like Desktop News Feed, Mobile News Feed, or Desktop Right Column.

I click the green button “Place Order” and the ad is done.

Now you can see the ad here. It is going to be pending review but once it is done, in a minute or two, the new ad will post.

Things to Remember:

  • Use viral photos, and short question headlines which are the neuro-linguistic Pattern Interrupts I discussed for a winning combination
  • Try lots and lots of ads! Keep trying new ads!
  • 1 day after posting the ads, I check on them and turn off the poorest performers and let the winners keep running
  • This technique helps your ad become the best performing ad with the least cost per like in the ad.
