04 Types of Facebook Ads

by | Jun 18, 2016

In module 4 you will learn:

  • The most popular types of FB ads you need to create profitable ads

Go to your ads manager to create your FB ad at www.Facebook.com/ads/manage

Above: When you get to your FB ads manager, you will see how well these ads are organized. Campaign is at the top, within that you have ad sets, and then ads within those. Each has its own piece. This is where you choose your objectives.

Boosted posts are great. They look like the image below. This is effective for getting likes, comments and shares but terrible for trying to drive traffic to your website.

Example of boosted posts: 16 photo clicks (no traffic), 1 page click, 1 page like, 58 post likes. If your goal is to get likes, comments and shares, then this is perfect. The biggest mistake I see is people putting a picture, text and link and then boosting the post and thinking people will follow through to their website…but they do not. It’s really critical to understand not to do this for website traffic. Only spend about $5 or $10 on any boosted post, maybe $30 if it’s a significant launch.

Promote your Page ad. Spend a small amount of money on this like $5 or $10 per day. This promotes your page. It’s called a Page Likes Campaign. This is good for social proof, but this does not generate customers! 500,000 people like my page, and 500 or so of those have purchased my services. So about 98{1f66b0d6ce0a11e4cd58ff5465420e8dd2d95871f419a96084a01d4981a25874} do NOT become customers. That can be a huge amount of money though, depending upon your business! Wide beginning of the funnel for a very narrow end.

The majority of our ad money is spent towards driving people to our website.

This next one is complicated, and we aren’t going to discuss increasing conversions. We will stick with sending people to your website. So go ahead and check that out and let us know what you think!
