I don’t know too many business strategies that are a sure thing, but Facebook comes pretty close.

Here’s why I say that:

There are a lot of ways to market your business and to generate leads, but only Facebook has the audience insight tool to allow you to laser target your marketing ONLY to the people who are most likely to become paying customers.

It’s a no brainer.  Here’s how you do it:

Under the Ads Manager, go to Audience Insights to Laser Target.

This is how you are going to make sure that your advertising dollars are being spent only on your perfect customer. First thing…getting to this tool. Go to your FB Ads Manager. Click on Audience Insights.

Choose a starting point. Choose “Everyone on Facebook”.

Fill out what location to target. In 95{1f66b0d6ce0a11e4cd58ff5465420e8dd2d95871f419a96084a01d4981a25874} of my ads, I target people all over the world who have interests in the kinds of things I teach. I suggest that you do the same, because even if you thought you’d never have a customer outside your area, you may surprise yourself. Almost 50{1f66b0d6ce0a11e4cd58ff5465420e8dd2d95871f419a96084a01d4981a25874} of my sales come from outside the US. This is a global economy and Facebook puts it all right at your fingertips.

Put in one interest that you are confident your audience would be drawn to. Then Facebook will populate a bunch of additional suggestions.

Targeting by interest, however, is only the tip of the Iceberg. In the US you can target on income. There are many other levels too, such as home owner status, relationship stage, parents, etc. It’s amazing the amount of detail that is available to you about your ideal clients!

For our purpose, we are going to focus on interest. In this example, I took an example of someone who is a health and wellness expert looking to target women over the age of 40 who are looking to lose weight. They like a variety of topics that suggest they would be interested in that.

You can really layer down your target if you wish. Remember, as always, test and test some more until you find the formula that works for you.

Now it’s your turn. Go to your Ads Manager, click on Audience Insights, and build one right now! Let us know how this works for you.
