Get Viral Views on Facebook Without Paying for Advertising

On December 3rd Facebook changed their algorithms to make it harder for people with Fan pages to get their posts seen. Before this date, if you had 1,000 fans on your Facebook page and you created a post, not all 1,000 people would have seen it. Maybe only 100 would have seen it.

Does your Facebook Net Likes Graph look at all like this? If you’re like 90% of Facebook users, then the answer is yet. The Photo Album Stack is a great way to get your Organic Likes Back up.

After December 3rd, if you create a post, only about 15 or 20 people are going to see it. Facebook has done this intentionally because they want you to spend money on their ads.

This algorithm, called EdgeRank, has dropped people’s social reach on Facebook by 50% to 70%. People who were getting 2,000 views are now getting 100 or 200.

One of the simplest, easiest, and fastest ways to combat this is to use something called the Photo Album Stack™. It’s a way to utilize EdgeRank to acquire more views without paying for advertising.

How the Photo Album Stack™ Increases Post Views

The Photo Album Stack™ is a technique that I tripped over accidentally in 2008 when we were growing our page called Yoga. It has since become the largest yoga page in the world with over 1.1 million likes.

So, how does it work??

Well, let’s start with how you’re posting images right now, which is most likely one photo at a time. The problem with this is that a single-photo post on your Facebook page starts out with zero likes, zero shares, and zero comments every time.

But a Facebook album is different.

To use the Photo Album Stack™, you put multiple photos into the same photo album on your Facebook page instead of posting photos individually and outside of an album. Every time you use an album to post photos, you acquire cumulative likes.

For example, once a Facebook album has 10 likes, whenever you post new photos into the same album again, it will reshow on your Facebook wall starting with 10 likes. The more likes, comments and shares you have, the higher you move up on EdgeRank and the more people see your posts.

Make sure you’re using only one album, because it takes time to get your likes, comments, and shares to grow. You don’t want to dilute your efforts by starting with multiple photo albums.

The other nice thing is you can always change the name and title of any album. If you start off like me posting photos of yoga then transition to posting photos of Costa Rica, you can simply change the title of the album.

To reiterate, whenever you go in to create a photo post in Facebook, just keep adding a handful of photos to the same album. I always do about eight or nine at once. Over time, they’ll collect hundreds, even thousands of likes, shares, etc.

How Social Proof Enters the Equation

This also ties into a psychological phenomenon with the Facebook like button called Social Proof. The phenomenon is, the more likes you have, the more likes you get. If you create a post and it starts with zero likes versus another post that starts with 100 likes, the latter post is much more likely to move up on EdgeRank because of Social Proof.

There is one other interesting psychological phenomena that happens with posting nine photos at a time into an album; it is very eye catching. When your fans are scrolling through their newsfeed, most of the posts they see only have one photo.

When yours contains nine, it’s almost irresistible for people to click. So you end up getting a lot more likes, comments and shares which pushes you up even higher on EdgeRank. This gets more people to see your posts and gets you ultimately more viral reach.
